How the Loan Officers Edge Works As the loan process begins, prospects will start out in the ACT database. Basic information about the prospect is collected and stored in ACT. When the time comes for the prospect to move forward with the loan, the Loan Officer has the ability to bring up the prospects record in ACT and with a click of a button, originate a new loan for the prospect in the LOS using IOC Client. As shown in the diagram below;
As the loan goes through Processing the file that was created with IOC Client is now being updated with more detailed loan information. This is where the Universal Data Translator takes over. The UDT can sense when records are edited in the LOS and the next time that UDT runs it automatically synchronizes any changes back into the ACT database. This process happens silently and in the background of day to day operations. While this entire process is taking place, IOC Campaign is monitoring the changes that are occurring in the ACT system. Campaign is looking for specific triggers in the ACT database that will let it know to perform a certain operation. For instance, any time Campaign senses that the field "Open Date" (the date that a loan was opened) is equal to the system date (that specific day), Campaign automatically sends the prospect an e-mail informing them that their loan has been submitted. Campaign will also check to see if there are third party agents involved that need to be updated with information on this particular loan and send e-mails accordingly. The Active Borrower E-mail Campaign that is provided with the Loan Officers Edge bundle will automatically notify the Borrowers of the following loan milestones;
